The eleventh volume of the series Dissertationes et Monographie, published by the International Research Center for Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages of the University of Zagreb, was presented to the public on May 25th 2018, during the annual colloquium of the Center in Poreč, Croatia.This book is representing the publication of the articles presented during the colloquium in Lausanne in April of 2015. The topic of the colloquium was the architectural form of the transept and its elevations in the medieval church building. The articles discuss the vast array of topics, dealing with strictly structural issues or exploring the symbolic, iconographical significance of the transept in the religious buildings of the middle ages. Geographically, the articles cover the area of France, Switzerland, Germany, England and Spain, focusing mostly on western European architectural heritage. The team collaborator, Xavier Baral i Altet has contributed with an article and Jean-Pierre Caillet has written the Conclusions to the book.

The publication of this book, with its topic about the significance of the architectural structure – transept in medieval church building is certainly a valuable contribution to the CROMART project publications.
