Sanja Zadro was born in 1988 in Mostar. She attended the undergraduate programme (2007 – 2010) and graduate programme (2010 – 2012) in Art History and Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University in Zagreb and earned an MA degree in Art History (on 2 July 2012) and Comparative Literature (on 21 September 2012).
She enrolled in a doctoral programme in Art History at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb in December 2012.
Areas of her interest include modern and contemporary art with the special focus on the architecture of the 19th century. The main topic of her doctoral research is architecture of Mostar from the middle of the 19th century until the Second World War.
She is fluent in written and spoken English and has a basic knowledge of German and Italian.
She participated in the scientific conference Iso Kršnjavi – veliki utemeljitelj (21st – 23rd November 2012) which was organized by the Institute of Art History and the Croatian Institute of History in Zagreb with the lecture entitled „Pogledi Ise Kršnjavog na razvoj hrvatske umjetnosti. Usporedba tekstova ‘Die kroatische Kunst’ i ‘Pogled na razvoj hrvatske umjetnosti u moje doba‘”. (Iso Kršnjavi’s Views on the Development of Croatian Art: Comparative analysis of his texts Die kroatische Kunst and “Views on the Development of Croatian Art”).
