Case Study Rab – public lecture, June 17th 2015
The first campaign of archaeological excavations on the island of Rab – the forgery and a part of city walls in the town of Rab, and the church of St Lawrence in Banjol – raised quite an interest of the local population. Case study Rab – excavations 2015, June 4th-21st
From June 4th till 21st June 2015 the first archaeological campaign incorporated to the CROMART project was conducted on the island of Rab, involving team members A. Chavarria, G. P. Brogiolo, M. Presentation of the CROMART project, Perpignan, France, June 2015
During the 27th annual meeting of the Association pour l’Antiquité tardive, that took place in Perpignan, France, it was agreed that the next, 28th meeting will be in Croatia, in Zadar, and will be hosted by the IRCLAMA. Miljenko Jurković, explaining the possibilities of hosting that meeting of the Association, presented the ongoing research in Croatia, linked with the CROMART project. The audience was this time composed of experts in late antiquity from all over Europe.

Monastery of St Mary the Great near Bale, Istria – excavations 2014, October
The monastery of St Mary the Great near Bale in Istria is a rare example of systematic research of a Carolingian monastery. In the first phase (1995-2000) the church and the south western chapel were excavated, in a French – Croatian partnership (J.-P. Caillet, P. Chevalier, I. Matejčić, M. Jurković). The third partner, the Museum of Croatian national monuments – MHAS (A. Milošević), joined in the second phase of the project, when the eastern and southern parts of the monastery, outside the perimeter of the walls were excavated (2002-2012). The ongoing third phase concentrates on the outer perimeter of the western side of the monastery, and is incorporated in the CROMART project.
