POZIVA VAS NA PRIJAVU ZA SUDJELOVANJE NA MEĐUNARODNOJ KONFERENCIJI

koja će se održavati od 13. do 16. listopada 2015. godine na Filozofskom fakultetu u Zagrebu

Pre/poznavanje i re/prezentacija suvremenih društvenih problema i praksi u svakodnevici

Konferencija je tematski usmjerena na ponovno razmatranje i problematiziranje koncepata granica i margina, u najširem smislu, u suvremenosti i svakodnevici, osobito u području ljudskih prava i društvenih i kulturnih praksi. Granicama i marginama pristupamo kao vremenskim, prostornim te društvenim domenama i prostorima, društveno i povijesno konstruiranima, čije istraživanje obuhvaća teoretske, metodološke i etičke probleme i inovacije. Zanimaju nas sljedeća pitanja:

GRANICE

/ kakve “oblike” imaju?
/ koji su akteri povezani s njima i utječu na njih?
/ kako utječu na društvo i kulturu?
/ kako izgleda transgresija granica?

MARGINE

kako ih konceptualizirati? /
što znači biti marginaliziran/a? /
koji su akteri uključeni u stvaranje margina? /

Uz ove dvije glavne teme zainteresirani sudionici/e mogu odabrati baviti se drugim temama koje se dotiču granica i margina. Kao primjere takvih tema navodimo, između ostalog:

LJUDSKA PRAVA – POLITIKA – EKONOMIJA – MIGRACIJE – AZILANTI – IDENTITET – DRUŠTVENI AKTIVIZAM – MEDIJI – RELIGIJA – ROD I SPOL – OBRAZOVANJE – TURIZAM

 Moguće je prijaviti radove koji nisu obuhvaćeni navedenim prijedlozima, a dotiču se zadanog tematskog okvira konferencije.

Zainteresirani sudionici/ice mogu sudjelovati kroz predstavljanje radova,organiziranje i/ili sudjelovanje u radionicama.

Službeni jezici konferencije su hrvatski i engleski.

Sudjelovanje na konferenciji je besplatno.

Gostujućim sudionicima sa drugih sveučilišta u Hrvatskoj i sa sveučilišta iz inozemstva bit će osiguran smještaj.

Radovi se prijavljuju do 20. rujna 2015. godine, uz ispunjenu prijavnicu (sa sažetkom do 300 riječi), i to na mail klub.studenata.kseka@gmail.com.
Organiziranje radionice prijavljuje se do 14. rujna 2015.

issues a CALL FOR PAPERS AND PARTICIPATION in the upcoming INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

which will take place at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb from 13^th to 16^th October 2015 under the title

Re/cognizing and re/presenting contemporary social issues and practices in everyday life

The conference is oriented towards addressing and re-examining, in the broadest sense, the concepts of borders and margins, in contemporary society and everyday life, with emphasis on the spheres of social and cultural practices and human rights. Our approach to these concepts is that of temporal, spatial and social domains and spaces/places, which are socially and historically constructed. The research of such topics encompasses various theoretical, methodological and ethical issues and innovations. We are interested in the following questions:

B O R D E R S :

/ what “forms” do they hold?
/ what actors are associated with them and how do they affect them?
/ how do they affect society and culture?
/ how does one transgress borders?

M A R G I N S :

how to conceptualize them? /
what does it mean to be marginalized? /
what actos are involved in the process of marginalization? /

With these main foci, interested participants can choose to discuss other topics which address borders and margins. Suggested topics may include (but are not limited to):

HUMAN RIGHTS – POLITICS – ECONOMY – MIGRATIONS – AZYLEES – IDENTITY – SOCIAL ACTIVISM – MEDIA – RELIGION – GENDER ISSUES – EDUCATION – TOURISM

Aside from paper presentation, attendees can participate by organizing and/or  partaking in workshops.

The conference is open to all students, young experts and researchers who are interested in the areas of ethnology/anthropology and other social sciences and humanities studies.

The official languages are Croatian and English.

Participation at the conference is free of charge. Accommodation for foreign presenters will be covered by the organizers.

The deadline for papers submission is 20^th September 2015. Applicants can apply by sending a filled application form (with a summary of up to 300 words) at: klub.studenata.kseka@gmail.com.
The deadline for submitting an application to organize a workshop is 14th November 2015.
