The international conference  Art and Politics in Europe in the Modern Period, planned as part of the overall activities of the research project, was held from 29 June to 2 July 2016 at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb.

Eighty nine researchers from Croatia and abroad gathered in Zagreb to present their papers whose multiple perspectives and methodological approaches enriched the art historical theoretical spectrum.
